Tiwanaku

Tiwanaku is the name of an archaeological site located close to Lake Titicaca. The history of the Tiwanaku culture is complex and the site reveals many religious buildings, sculptures and other structures, some of them well preserved and some restored. The llamas you can see in the last picture were located in the backyard of our hostel!683 tiw685 tiw686 tiw687 tiw688 tiw690 tiw691 tiw692 tiw

The border to Bolivia

The border to Bolivia looks crounded in the picture, but 95% of the people you can see are just selling something, so actually few people were in line at the border crossing office. However, because ¨no hay systema¨ (system down) we had to wait one hour until everything was restored.

Finally, the moment I´ve been waiting for so long, has arrived: we were in Bolivia!

Still alive

Sorry I have been unable to post during the past week, but we were somewhere in the middle of the Atacama desert, struggling to advance and survive. I´ll try to post the whole story from Bolivia asap. Cheers!
