The first day we spent in the center we took some pictures. Since it was Saturday, the streets were overcrowded with cars and people.
Teotihuacan
The Teotihuacan archaeological site is in the immediate vicinity of Mexico City. Fortunately, it was not very crowded. They also have a museum there, plus you can climb the pyramids (all 3 of them). Plus you can do all the shopping right there: vendors will come to you offering sun glasses, hats, musical instruments, jewlery, food, batteries, clothing and so on :))
The auto hotel
A very popular accomodation in this part of world is the so-called “auto motel”. Each unit is formed by a garage + a room. Plenty of room to dry the clothes, cook or fix the motorcycle. For some reason, there was a lot of raining in Mexico City area, so after each day we had to dry almost everything…
México, D.F.: Fixing the bike
I am writing this from Acapulco de Juarez, Guerrero. Meaning that I am about 4 days late with the postings. We spent 4 nights in México, DF. One day we found a motorcycle shop where Poncho and his guys worked together with me for 6 hours to fix and tune-up our bike. We fixed almost everything and Poncho also helped with his pick-up to get the parts to the welding shop, which was a bit far actually. At the end he proved to be friendly one more time, asking for only a fraction of the fair price for the labor.
Santiago de Querétaro, Querétaro
This was our last stop before Mexico City. Santiago de Querétaro is another well preserved colonial city, also a UNESCO World Heritage site.
