As the bike reached 10.000 miles, things were still looking good. Only the ABS was not working. Probably some error code was recorded at a time when the battery run out of juice. That, in turn, happened as a result of using too much electricity with accessories and extra lights.
10.000 miles
Guadalajara, Jalisco
Allthough Guadalajara is Mexico’s second most populous municipality, we only had few hours for sightseeing. We spent the time in the central area. Very good organized, with a larga plaza reserved for pedestrians, while the traffic and parking goes bellow. Some Spanish style cathedrals, gardens and colonial streets complete the landscape.
Bobby
While we were stopped at a restaurant on the side of the road, another rider passed by. He saw our BMW heavily loaded and he turned back to say hello. His name is Bobby, from Tucson, AZ, and he is riding his ’09 Suzuki Boulevard 650 from his hometown to Patagonia and back. We rode together for a while but after Guadalajara we split, as our agenda was significantly different than his. Good luck, Bobby!
Jalisco
After Nayarit comes Jalisco. While riding East, we passed several agave (the plant used to make tequila) fields, in the vicinity of the town named Tequila. Also “Tequila” is called a nearby volcano, that produced this lunar landscape, probably during the last eruption, some 
200.000 years ago.

As we passed the Tropic of Cancer, while approaching the Nayarit state, we took a moment to make a picture with the sign.
