More bystanders
Although not as many as in the West or South, bystanders continue to be a nuisance, especially due to their high number. Almost anywhere we stop there are a few people just standing, ready to gather. One day we got off the bike to go to an internet cafe. As we came out, 2 hours later, we noticed the same people we saw when we left were still there (plus some fresh faces).

… it was late ’60, early ’70, I remember like today !
A Chevrolet Corvette “split window” parked in front of Athenee Palace Hotel in Bucharest and a similar crowd gathered to see the unique, the unusual, something to admire and to remember.
Different time and place but I am inclined to understand …
But the owner was dealing with 20 million potential bystanders. Here, we are dealing with 65 times that number. And if it’s not just a bystander, there will be a rickshaw driver asking to give me a ride, an apple seller asking why we don’t want to try an apple, a tour guide offering his services, a beggar, a family who wants to have a picture together with us and so on. Each and every day we feel exhausted after only stepping outside of the hotel a few minutes!
