The Panama Canal
The main tourist attraction in Panama City area is the Panama Canal. At the Miraflores Locks (some 15km South of the city) there is a museum depicting the efforts made by the French and the Americans to build the canal. This museum features some scale models as well as original equipment and pictures. They also have an exhibit of fish and insects (some of them really big!) living in the nearby jungle.
